REPRESSION POLICY
BY FREE STATE GOVERNMENT. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, October 10. The Dublin “Times” correspondent says; “Political circles declare that if the Public Safety Bill is not carried by a substantial majority, President Cosgrave will make an immediate appeal to the country. The Government, with the support of the Independents, has a clear majority in the Dail Eireann over the combined Fianna Fail and Labour Parties, and the extremists’ campaign of intimidation may result in serious defections, and President Cosgrave will not be satisfied with a bare majority on the Bill. The Government has important documents, indicating that the extremists are ,in close touch with Soviet agents and' that the growth of Bolshevist influence in the Irish Free State is increasing.
