FOR NEW ZEALAND STAMPS. (By Telegraph—Per Press Associationi WELLINGTON, September 23. A competition which wa s announced throughout the world some months ago, offering prizes for designs for a new set of New Zealand stamps, closes at the end of tlris month. ‘ Entries are to hand in large numbers from all parts of the world, and local entries are expected to arrive during the next few days. A rumour which gained currency res cently that the Department had already ordered a new set of stamps iis groundless, and is probably based on the fact that new revenue stamps which have nothing to do with postage j have already made their appearance. i
