THE HOUSE. (By Telegraph—Per Press Associationt WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. , In tilt) House of Representatives yesterday, the Dominion Life Assurance Office of New Zealand Limited Bill was read a second time. Replying to Mr Fraser, Mr Forbes said he intended making a; statement shortly in respect to operations of the Matson Shipping Line in New Zealand waters. Companies Empowering Amendment Bill (Mr Smith) was introduced and read a first time. Rural Intermediate ' Credit Amendment Bill (Mi* Forbes) and Taupiri Drainage and River District Amendment Bill, (Mr de la Pdrrelle) were read a second time. Mr Veitch moved the Committee, of the Transport Licensing ■ Bill. The .debate was interrupted by the rising of the House at 5.30 p.m. till 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday.
