The auditors’ investigation of Walker Wolf’s speculations find total losses exceed £400,000, making the greatest amount stolen by any individual in the history of American crime. The amazing thing is that Wolf did not profit a single penny by his embezzlements. He gambled in shares, »and took the securities to make up the losses. He kept on stealing more and more, but was never able to catch up, and finally operated accounts m twenty different names.
