Busby (New York) eliminated Rainville (Canada), 6—l, 6—o, 3—o. The latter defaulted after the third game in the final set, owing to a stiff , neck. Perry (England),. defeated Sebgson (New York), 6—4, 7—5, 4—6, 6—o. NEW YORK, September 5.

At Philadelphia, the United Slates swept three final matches in the round-robin tennis to-day, hut Britain had already won it with four points. Lott defeated' Hughes 6—4, g 6 ; Vines defeated Boassies 6—3, 4 6,’ 6—2; Lott and Vines defeated Hughes and Perry - 6 — 4, 6—4.
