HIKURANGI COAL COY
MINERS DECIDE TO RESUME. (By Telegraph—Per Frees Association) WHANGAREI, September 6. In consequence of,the fact that the manager of Wilson’s Colliery had guaranteed through Mr Ashworth, M.P., to make up the minimum wage that has been in dispute, and also that Wil-„ son’s collieries had notified the Union that Wilson’s mine jvas closed definitely, a largely attended meeting of miners at noon to-day decided to .resume work immediately at the Hikurangi Coal Company’s mine. The reasoned arguments put'forward, by Mr Rushworth and Messrs Parry and Semple contributed materially to this decision.
