YACHTING TROPHY
THREE-HUNDRED MILE COURSE. GIFT BY MADAME BALOKOVIC AUCKLAND, Aug. 31. A silver cup is to be donated to the Akarana Yacht Club by Madame Balokovic as a- trophy for a three-hundred mile race for A arid B yachts of all clubs. , The race is to be sailed about January of each year, in the vicinity or the Hauraki Gulf. Arrangements have been made for Captain H. H. Sargeant harbour-master, to plot out several suitable courses for. consideration by the Akaraua Yacht Club. One, of the officials of the club stated this morning that the race should be a big incentive tbjyachtirig in Auckland, and a very suitable course could be obtained between Auckland, Russell and the Great Barrier. The trophy was expected to reach Auckland shortly. It was to be known as the Balokovic Cup.
