NO DEVELOPMENT, r ßy Telegraph — Plet-Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, August 28. So far nothing has transpired, it is reported, to shed more light on the iKarere murder. A party of police and detectives commenced an intensive search of the surrounding locality for the weapon which inflicted, the fatal wounds on Blakeway. Ditches and drains are being combed with rakes and forks. It is understood the search for the letter, alleged of a threatening nature, which it was previously reported, came into the possession •of the deceased, will he futile it probably having been destroyed. No date has been fixed for the inquest.
