THE HOLD-UPS
TWO WINSTONES CHARGED. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 20. Arrested in New Plymouth on Saturday, Florence Winstone 27, married, and Jack Winstone, alias George Merton, 21, ft seaman, wevo charged to-day that being armed with a live chumbeml revolver they robbed Maurice Guthrie of a cheque’ book, and of being found at New Plymouth in possession of a revolver and compressed air pistol, otherwise than for some lawful and proper purpose. ' The first- charge relates to tin armed hold-up on Shelly Bay road on 7th Aug. They were remanded till August 26th.
