THEFT AND ARSON

CHRISTCHURCH, August 20

Burglars last night, for the second time in a fortnight, entered the premises of Guthrie Bowen and Cov., Worcester Street, and stole goods worth £IOO.

■Highly inflammable goods were spilt on the floor and set on fire, but a passer by noticed the flames and notified the police. The damage was small. Previously a similar attempt was made.
