RESTORATION LEAGUE, DEMAND.

INVERCARGILL, August 18
The Secretary of the Local Restoration League states that the body will leave no stone unturned to Lave a local option poll taken, irresp.-ctive ov the action of the major issues. At a meeting of the Executive of the Invercargill Restoration and Progress League this evening, it was decided to make strong representations to the Government to have a restoration poll taken in Invercargill this year. Telegrams have been despatched to every member of Parliament, acquainting them of the position in Invercargill. The League has offered a guarantee the expenses of taking a local option poll in the event of national issue being postponed.
