RECORD LOW PRICES. . United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright, j LONDON, August 8. The wheatsold at Liverpool to-day was disposed of at the lowest preies paid there for 150 years. The “Daily Express” agricultural editor, referring to this fact, declared / . that the low prices are largely due to there being ail economic war declared in Russia. The new season’s .British wheat is now on the market, and it is being under-sold by the Russian wheat to the extent of ten shillings per quarter. /
The wheat growers in England says the “Daily Express,” are literally on the verge of complete and final bankruptcy. The position is so tragically urgent that it can only bo remedied by emergenev legislation.
