Harold Francis Walker a farmer of Wainuiomata had a miraculous escape, when .a' motor lorry lie was driving crashed over a two hundred loot bank. Walker was driving up Wniiiui Road when the vehicle skidded off the road toppling over the bank. Walker, who was thrown out before it reached the bottom where the lorry was smashed to atoms, escaped with a sprained ankle.
