WASHED OVERBOARD
SEAMAN ON SCHOONER HUIA AUCKLAND, July 28. Able-seaman, <L- .Drummond - was washed overboard -- from; the (Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia, .which, reached Auckland from Melbourne yesterday, when the vessel was en route from Kaipnra to |lelbourne. He was rescued very promptly. --- The-accident occurred at 7.20 o’clock in the evening midway between New Zealand and Australia, Although it was dark, the' seaman’s plight'' was noticed immediately, and ns ,-bo was drifting past the vessel Jig Was'thrown a lifebuoy, and a rope,-whieh ho caught.
