A BANKRUPTCY

PECULIAR CIRCUMSTANCES. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, July 20. Tliis is a curious case, said the Official Assignee, when the creditors of the bankrupt firm of Munro and Hiekinbottoni <>. Christchurch, tailors, met to-day. Munro, lie added, is under remand, Hickiubottom having alleged theft and failure to account for monies against him. Under the circumstances their statements would; properly; be full of of recrimination so did not insist on them. The police have the matter in hand and it would ho manifestly unfair to bring up anything that might prejudice Munro. The partnership statement showed £2270 owing with a reficiency of £2094 Hickiubottom’s private deficiency was £l4B and Munro’s £986. The meeting went into committee to discuss disposal of the assets. .
