THREATENING TOWNSHIPS, (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 13. As a result of heavy rain, the flood waters of Lake Urana covered fifteen thousand acres to a depth of ten to fifteen feet. The residents want the Water Conservation Department to cut the dam at the entrance to the Lake and release the water. The townspeople are becoming alarmed, as the water is gradually backing up round the - town. It is still raining lightly. There is some talk of direct action in cutting the dam down. People at Gerilderie, Maulamein and Deniliquin towns lower down the river object to the dam being cut, as their property would then be flooded,
