In a professional' boxing, contest tonight, Tommy Fairhall defeated Fred Parker (Timaru), the referee stopping the fight in the eighth of a fifteen rounds bout. Tn a second professional fight, G. Wright (Christchurch) beat D. Richardson (Timaru), the referee declaring Richardson helpless .in the sixth round. The decision met with a mixed reception.
