Marlebone Cricket Club as the “accepted legislator of every class of cricket at home and in the dominions,” has forwarded a petition to the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Mr Snowden), protesting against the disastrous effect of the land tax on sports grounds, and uring the exemption of grounds where there is no distribution of profits among the owners.
