SIDNEY, June 8. The Australian Jockey Club’s winter meeting opened to-day at Randwick in ideal weather, with a good attendance. the occasion being the observance of the King’s Birthday holiday. Results: - June Stakes: —Green Sea 1; Fulfill re 2; Promptitude 3. 18 started. Won by I of a length. Time 1.11-L Australian Jockey Club Hurdle Handicap:—Dark Isle I. ; Drake 2; Gad ray 3. I I started. Won by 2 lengths. Time 4.30*.
Ellesmere Handicap:--Tortoni 1; Troil us 2 ; Donmoon 3. 16 started. Won by 1) lengths. Time 2.4-1. The First Nursery Handicap was* won by Legitime, with Senator second ami Miss Nottnva third. The winner gained Lite verdict by five lengths.

The Victoria Racing Club’s King’s Birthday meeting wa.s continued to day in dull weather on a heavy track, after week-end rain. Results:
