WHANCARET, June 9
The Matakana Dairy Co., which has used the word British on its butter boxes for the past 30 years just received a notice from the Dairy Board and its London principals that the
brand is a contravention of the Merchant Marks Act and that the landing of a consignment of 1270 boxes aboard the Trtinui has been prohibited. Action lias been taken under the Act of 1887. which says that the dess< Option of British is legally applicable only to goods manufactured in Britain.
