SYDNEY, May 25 A loyal demonstration, at which five thousand people were present, was held at Martin Pla c e, Sydney, to-day, this being the principal function marking the celebration of Empire Day. The State Governor, Sir Philip Game, a,n<l representative 'citizens delivered noteworthy speeches, emphasising th a t- there was a need to combat pernicious influences that tended to disintegration.
