BUCHAREST, May 24. The new Premier of Roumania. Professor Jorga, is an apostle of the return to simplicity, and a wielder of the “morality mop.”. He declares in favour of punishing mercilessly those Roumanian politicians who had misused their positions for profit at the expense of the State. Letters from peasants disclose much local graft and maladministration. The Premier is ruthlessly enforcing the prohibition of cosmetics, and silk stockings among the civil servants, any offenders being instantly dismissed.
