NEW ZEALAND TOUR. N.Z. V. GLAMORGAN. (Special to Press Association). LONDON. May 23. The New Zealand cricketers to-day commenced their match against Glamorgan. but rain fell, and caused the abandonment of play one horn- after the start, thus jobbing the New Zealanders of another Saturday gate. From the New Zealand team there were omitted Lowry, Matheson, and Mills. The Glamorgan team is as follows: Turnbull, Bates, Bell, Mercer. .lon.es, D. Davies. E. Davies, Dyson, La vis, Ruckfield Eery.
Page won the toss, and decided to bat.
Dempster and Weir opened the tunings on a good wicket, and tlvey scored forty-four runs before the cessation of play. The wicket was then covered, so as to enable a continuation of play, if possible, on the Bank Holiday, which is Monday. The scores were: NEW ZEALAND—-First Innings. Dempster, not out 26 Weir, not out 16 Extras 2 Total for no wickets 44 The following is the bowling analysis for the Worcestershire s econd innings: -—‘Matheson 0 for 8, Talbot 0 for 15, Merritt 4 for 52, Alleott 0 for 0, Vivian o for 21, I lON DON, May 24. Correction,-—Worcester's first innings should be 286. Perks scored 14. Alleott took 1 for 42, instead of 1 for 32.
