AUCKLAND MILK SUPPLY
CONTROL BOARD LIKELY TO BE ESTABLISHED. AUCKLAND, May 14. A representative of the Department of Industries and Commerce spent two days this week investigating the conditions of supply and distribution in tho milk trade in Auckland and district. He returned to AA’ellington to submit his report to the Minister. It was authoritatively stated that the result of the investigations may be the establishment of a Milk Control Board for Auckland. The existing system of supply is said to involve a great, deal of waste and overlapping, as well as excessive and unnecessary competition.
A meeting of farmers is called for tomorrow. Meetings ol r?piesentati\es of the wholesale and the retail trade will also be held.
