TWELVE CASES DISCOVERED. CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. Twelve case s of non-payment of the unemployment levy in Canterbury have been discovered by the Labour Department. The defaulters are all resident in country districts, and they will be summoned early next month. From inquiries made in the city, no cases of non-payment of the levy have yet been discovered. Summonses were issued on Friday against ten Ashburton residents who have defaulted in connection with the payment of the unemployment levy. These will be dealt with at the next sitting of the Magistrate’s Court.
