NEW SERUM TESTED. SOME PROMISING' RESULTS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 8. Widespread interest has been aroused in the experiments that are being con. ducted in cancer cases at the three London hospitals with a serum discovered by Air Thompson, Lecturer in Physiology tit King's College, London, and research worker tor the Royal College of Surgeons. Scientists and surgeons in close touch with the tests, emphasise that these are still in the experimental stage. Patients under treatment are being carefully observed and, although it is believed that some benefit has resulted, it is too early to say what permanent value there is in the treatment, which consists of injecting a preparation made from the para-thyroid gland, in order to remedy the deficiency in the components of the blood, which Dr. Thompson believes to be the cause of cancer,
