APPOINTMENT CANCELLED
OF CROWN PROSECUTOR. (Australian - Press Association.) (Received 10.25 a.m.) BRISBANE, Apil 24. The Executive Council decided that the appointment of the Crown Prosecutor, Mr F. O’Rourke, who caused « sensation at the criminal sitings of the Supreme Court on March 11, by refusing to call evidence after presenting an indictment again two men, should terminate from Saturday, on which date his commission will be cancelled. O’Rourke has been a prominent member of the Queensland Bar for many years.
