LANG FINANCIAL PROPOSALS
MR BRUCE'S CONDEMNATION. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE. April 16. AD S. Af Bruce, ox-'Primc .Minister, roundly condemned the Lang fiH‘>tidal proposals to-night, and urged the people to have nothing to do with them vior any form of inflation. He emphasised the first aim should he to restore confidence at home and abroad. He felt sure it would then be possible to make arrangements for thirty millions sterling from London by Minding debts which were immediately repayable. All securities would automatically begin to rise and interest rates would automatically fall. Tie even thought it would he possible to float a great conversion loan upon the reduced interest rates.
