UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
CANADIAN ATTITUDE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph - .-Copyright.) (Received this day at 9 n.rti.) OTTAWA. April 15. A positive refusal to the demand for the enactment of a Bill providing for non contributing State unemployment insurance was made b.v Premier Bennett to a delegation of the Workers United League of Canada, which is the Canadian section of the Red International of Labour Unions recently organised. He said—“We will not put a premium on idleness. AS e will not put cur people on the dole.” Air Bennett suit! the question ol unemployment insurance was hoi ore the Government and it was his hope that something would bo done about it. hut if action wore taken it would not be suffix as to destroy men’s soli respect.
