When the Hamburg Diet assembled the Communist- Deputies placed a huge red-ribbgoned wreath and red flowers on the murdered Deputy Henning's former seat. Then, before the President could open the session, they hurled themselves on the Nazis in the Diet. A furious hand-to-hand fight resulted. the Nazis being outnumbered. After some bloodshed, the police restored order. The . President suspended seven of the Communists for from one to two months.
