A CLOUDBURST
FLOODS THE COUNTRYSIDE. * FARMERS GRAVE FEARS. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 9.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 20. A cloudburst tut Aldoi'tlian, Riverina district, flooded a large area to a depth of six feet, and neighbouring Bygoo and Mirniol creeks were swollen for 20 miles. Residents fear the southern portion of the town will he washed away to-day. ’They are refuging on the northern heights. No lives weie lost, hut - the damage is extensive. Trains are at a .standstill. Earmeis are concerned for the safety o| the railway shod, filled with many thousand sacks of wheat. If 'the water enferp. they will lose the fruits of their whole season’s work.
