GERMAN THREAT
IN DEFIANCE OF TREATY. [United Press Association.—By Electric Tei egraph.—Copy r lght. 1 BERLIN, March 9. War Minister Groener, in defending the German Army estimates in the Reichstag, hinted at the possibility of Germany repudiating t'lje disarmament clauses of the Versailles 'treaty unless France reduced her military forces in accordance therewith. He declared that ■ the French Army was at the ■; world’s strongest and best-equipped war instrument, owing to intensity of training, strength of reserves, and the quality of the Army’s equipment. He said:—“The treaty hinds the other U. Powers as well as Germany to general disarmament. Me demand the fulfilment of the pledge, in the interests ol A peace and European reconstruction. ▼ Germany is willing to co-operate- i" every kind of disarmament undertaken on a basis of equality of rights,”
