MALTA PROTEST
AGAINST STRICKLAND POLICY. United Press Association.—By Electro Telegraph—Copyright]. MALTA, February 22. The. Nationalist leaders have cabled to the leaders of the three Political Parties in England, stating that on Lord Strickland’s decision certain exMaltese Parliamentarians are visiting London, and are due to interview Lord Pasfifield To-morrow, and they represent only a minority in Malta. The Nationalist leaders’ statement protests against any constitutional amendments being made for the curtailing of religious and civic rights in Malta, and trusts that Britain will refrain from interfering in the local questions and “lending themselves to partisan intrigues to the detriment ol Malta, whose religious and national rights England formally pledged herself to defend on taking Malta under her protection.”
