SPECTACULAR COLLISION

CAR AND BUS INVOLVED. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) V ELLINGTON, February 13. Three people were injured in rather a spectacular collision between a small private car and a railway passenger bus on the Hutt Road at 9 o’clock last evening. One of the sides of the bus was considerably damaged and the small car was badly wrecked, the parts being strewn all over the read. The driver of the car, - Gilbert Frank Tabernacle and his companion a woman, both received leg injuries. Those in the bus were thrown forward heavily when the large vehicle came to a sharp stop. One of the passengers, J. Ellis was thrown upward instead of forward and struck his head on the ceiling. He was hospitalled suffering from concussion and shock. Tabernacle returned with the police to the Central Station, where after receiving medical attention, he was detained.
