LACK OF PROPER CARE. (By Te!eg?aph~'Per Press Association) DARGAVILLE February 13. Late yesterday afternoon, two W«l* lington residents, Messrs W. B. and F. E. Scanlon, touring north by car, were struck 'by the engine of a train at a level crossing on the KirikopuniTangowahine line. The driver of the car was evidently unaware of the approach of the train, as ,he had stopped on the crossing. The car was struck on the passenger side and W. B. Scan. lon received the full force of the collision; resulting in receiving extensive head and other injuries. The ambulance and a doctor were rushed out' from Dargaville, and the patient taken to the hospital where he is,now making satisfactory progress. The driver was only badly shaken. The car was considerably damaged. -
