AN INDECISIVE VERDICT (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 7. After a retirement of over four hours the jury, hearing the case in the Supremo Court against Albert Kdward Storey, who was charged with man slaughter or alternatively causing death by negligent driving, found him guilty of negligent driving Imt not so as to caust the deaths of Norman, Cook, and Amelia Cook, who were killed as a result of a collision with accused’s car in Ngahaiiranga. Mr George Cornish, who with Mr \. A. Fodon apppearod for accused, commented this morning that this amounted to a. verdict of not guitly and Mr Justice MacGregor agreed that it seem od to he so.
His Honour however, reserved leave to the. Crown to argue the meaning of the vedict.
