Martly Jones cabled otli of February and bis wife pleaded guilty at Marylebone Police Court to improper use of Government vouchers for travelling on railways, and were fined 40s, the Magistrate declaring it was a disgraceful case ,for a member of Parliament to be involved in.
Jones was charged with willfully transferring nontrans.ferrnblo tickets to bis wife, and aiding and abetting li is wife to travel by railway without previously paving the fare.
The prosecuting consol said the tickets were obtained on Government warrants and wore for members of Parliament, not relatives. Airs Jones handed in the tickets at the barrier at Pontypridd dated 10th December, but the date was written in a diU'went, pencil by her husband, said counsel, When the police visited Jones he admitted the indiscretion.
