BANKS AGAIN INCREASE SALE. Australian JAess Association.) SYDNEY. January 28. The Associated Banks have again increased the exchange rates from Australia on London. Telegraphic transfer buying at £l3O and selling at £.130 10s. The movement is merely an adjustment to bring the rates into line with the official quotations in the outside market. Tliis development affords an indication of tin- extent whereto the exchange business has gone and is going on the part of the banks. It also emphasises the increased cost ot remitting Government funds to London. Australian and New Zealand selling rate on the basis ot £IOO sterling is now £l2l Bs.
