The Nelson case stands part heard, pending the evidence of Hon. O. F. Nelson being taken on commission at A uck la lid. To-dav, the evidence was given by .Mrs Kruse (Director), and Air Moors. (Secretary) of Nelson Company, and by the Chief Faumaiiina Laumauina stated that he thought the amount owed to Hon. 0. F. Nelson by the Man was twenty thousand pounds, this being the. cost of the trip to Geneva, also solicitor’s costs in New Zealand and Samoa, and other costs. The defence claims that the moneys in question have been paid for a legal purpose, namely, that of paying off the debt due to Hon. 0. E. Nelson personally, and that what the Company has been doing was not aiding and abetting a seditions organisation.
