New South Wales citizens are again threatened with additional taxation. Hon. Mr Tully, Minister of Lands, speaking at Goulburn, said that the Lang Government was in a desperate financial plight. He hinted that the Ministry wa« considering ft super tux of fifty per cent.

• Important proposals of the Nationalist financial" policy were made known to-night by Mr H. S. Gullett, deputyleader of the Opposition, with the full concurrence of Mr Latham, leader of the Opposition. It suggests that the Commonwealth expenditure should be reduced at the rate of five millions for the present financial year, that there should be an internal Australian loan of ten millions for works and rural relief ; also the transfer of a large amount of credit from London to Australia, and the temporary reduction of taxation by about ten millions, by the funding in London of part of Australia’s overseas interest payments for five years. Mr Gullett claims that this plan would have a tremendous influence on bondholders.
