GERMAN PLAYER IN TROUBLE. United Press Association —By Electm Telegraph.—Copyright. J PURLIN, January 16. 'The Davis Cup player, Prenn. luis been fined £ls tor slandering a firm of racquet makers by declaring the allegation that be bad demanded £l5O for using their racquet was a lie. Correspondence was produced in Court which showed that Prenn. refused to take up payment, but was prepared to take up a a salaried position at the firm’s office. It is expected the case will re-open the question of Prenn’s amateur status.
