FOLLOWING CAR SMASH. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) ROTORUA, January 19. A fatal motor accident occurred yesterday on Rotorua-Taupo road, at the approach to a bridge crossing the AYaikato at Rangiteten. Driving a car from Repapoa to Ohaki. and when approaching the bridge which is an acute angle, the steering gear jammed and the car hit a steep hank on the right hand side. Rehi Rawiti aged six, sitting on his mother’s knee, was fyhrown through the wind 'shield, and when extricated his throat was found to be cut. death lollowing immediately. No others wore injured.
