CYCLING CLUB

I The Hiokitika Club held another successful road race on Saturday afternoon, the route being about 20 miles. Starling from the Pioneer Hotel, they rode along Gibson Quay to the KoUarahi road, and out to the Longford Hotel and hack, finishing at the .starting point. The hoys’ race was to Ivnnieri and back. The weather was fine with a fresh south-west breeze. The handicapping was again a feature, the placed men finishing about a minute ahead df the rest in the senior race, while the judge was unable to separate the finalists in the boys’ race. Bobbie Little, a popular fancy, broke his chain soon after starting. The results were: SENIOR RACE. Ist. Gillman’s Medal, and Cl A. Mitchell (omin). Time 62min 43 secs. 2nd. E. Toohey’s trophy and Bis: — E. Olsen (Semins). Time (51 min. 36seo 3rd I). Dowell’s trophy:—A. Morton (3rj mins). Time (51 mins 20seos. Fastest time: —S. Hnvill oOmins 6 secs. Also started:—lv. Hewlett, (6-. J mins)., R. Olsen (Olmius)., R. Little (oimins)., E. Cook (2min)., T. Richards (lmin)., J. Havill (Amin)., S. Havill (lmin). BOYS’ RACE. Mrs Moore’s trophy and os second: —C.
