MOTOR CAR CRASH
INJURES FOUR PEOPLE

Four persons were injured in ft’ double accident which occurred on the Ellerslie-Panmure Hoad. near Panlimre. last evening, when a motor car struck a mail, and a short time later collided with a motor cycle, on which, three persons were riding.
The car. which was driven by E. RSutherland, of Ouehunga, was travelling towards KUerslie when a man, James .Madden, of Ponsonoy. stepped out on the road trom behind a stationary car at side of the road. Hewas knocked down, receiving severe injuries to the back, and lie was taken to Auckland Hospital where his condition was stated to bo fairly s' rious.
After driving a short distance to obtain a telephone to summon an ambulance and the police, Sutherland drove back to the place where the accident occurred. As he was turning, the collision occurred with the iir-ior cycle, the three occupants of which were violently hurled off. One of them, Afiss Elsie Jones, aged 18 years, whose parents live at Takanini. received injuries to the head. The driver. Eduard Coad, aged 21. of Turainn Road, Royal Oak, was also injured about the head, while another young man, named O’Halloran, living at Onehunga, received head injuries and a fractured jaw. All three were taken to the Auckland Hospital by ambulance.
Coiul and the girl were stated to be ill a, serious condition this evening, while O’Bajloraips condition is not serious.
