SIR S. BRACKNER’S WILL
MISS LEK’S EXPLANATION

Miss Auriol Lee, the actress, who has just returned from America, commenting on the announcement that she is the sole beneficiary under the estate of the late Sir Sefton Braekner (oAe of the heads of the British Ail' Fprcc, who was killed in the R.IQI •disaster, said:—“So far from its being a bequest. Sir Sefton actually left me bis debts, an overdraft, and an enormous legacy duty. The last thing that 1 need is anybody’s money, but I am perfectly prepared to take on all of the obligations of every debt that he left.”
Miss Lee explained that before his leaving on a flight- in 1927, the late Sir S. Branckner thought that he would like to protect his papers, books and notes, leaving them with l,ier. It was all clone in a< great hurry, and the matter of finance must have slipped in by accident. The papers included diaries, war history, an entire record of aviation since 1910, and logs of big flights. They, she said, would be a great responsibility, and would call for discreet handling.
