UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE. VANCOUVER, December 30. A message from Coquimbo states:— Heavy green .seas recking with unnatural odour washed the shores of NorthChile as an aftermath of what is believed to have been a great,earthquake far under the Pacific. Port officials warned the the inhabitants against sea bathing because an ‘'examination revealed a considerable quantity of suspected animal matter, apparently millions of fish have been killed by the shock.
