PREMIER’S VIEWS.

LONDON, December 20
The “Daily Telegraph’s” correspondent ;it Madrid reports that General Beivnguer, Premier of Spain, in his first interview since the recent revolt, said that the Government’s plans for the holding of general elections oil the Kith of March were not altered. He stated martial law would be maintained only during the investigation of the recent events. General B'-.renguer declared that he intended to resign as soon as a constitutional regime was established. He thought it was unlikely than any single party would emerge from the elections stung enough to form a Government. He hoped that sufficient groups approving of the present Government’s programme would combine to constitute a new Ministry. He regarded the revolutionary movement being suppressed so far as the army is concerned, but lie admitted that it probably would continue among tbs Communists and the syndicalists. Asked whether Moscow has financed this revolutionary movement, General Berrnguer laughingly replied that he did not think that the Soviet had any money to spare at present.
PORTUGAL LIBERATES REBEL LEADERS.
LISBON, December 20. The Portuguese Government has given permission to Franco and the other Spanish rebels to leave the country. SEAPLANES ARRIVE. (Received this dav at 12 noon' PARIS. Dec. 21. A message from Balbos states:— Twelve seaplanes arrived at Kenitra (Morocco) this afternoon.
