The “Evening Sun’s” Oakland (California! correspondent reports that KingsSjord Smith’s brother asserted that th’e Australian aviator is en route for the United States. It was stated that he contemplated making a nonstop flight from Oakland to Tokio in the springtime, and would possibly be accompanied by bis wife.
A prize of 20,0C0 dollars is being offered for such a flight, and it was suggested that Kingsford Smith would make it in a special single-motored monoplane, which is under construction in California.
MRS MILLER IN HOSPITAL,
NEW YORK, December 20,
Mrs Keith Miller entered a hospital to-day for. treatment for internal injuries. She is stated to have suffered from kidney trouble since her plane crashed at Jacksonville on December 14th.
