N.Z. RED CROSS SOCIETY. (By Telegrapii—Per Press Association.* WELLINGTON, December 17. Official recognition of the newly constituted N.Z. Red Cross Society was sought by the deputation to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr de La Parelle. The wages of all workmen ten per cent, horse hire 20 per cent. The Council also decided to allow an extra month’s grace: before the enforcement of the penalty on overdue rates. WOMAN MISSING. .BLENHEIM, Dec. 18. At seven o’clock last night Airs George Wright, of Seddon, who has been an inmate of Lister Hospital for a considerable period, left the institution to take her customary walk. She failed to return, and though a search was carried out by the police ami others, at one o’clock to-day no trace of her was discovered.
