MILITARY REVOLT

AT FRONTIER FORT. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) * MADRID, December 12. A military revolt has broken out at Jaca, where there is an important frontier fort. Detachments of loyal infantry and artillery have been sent. The four trains from Saragossa, and others have also been ordered to bold themselves in readiness. The Minister of the Interior states that Jaca is completely isolated. REVOLT COLLAPSES. MADRID, December 13. Reports arriving record the collapse at Jaca of a revolt. Loyal troops from Saragosse met a detachment of rebels who were marching on Huesca, and routed them, the artillery fire killing many. The loyal troops also took one thousand prisoners. The leaders of the rebel movement will he tried toGnorrow. j While the Government insists that the Jaca rebellion is an isolated affair, reports from other sources state that rebels have reached Ayerbe and are proceeding in the direction of Huesca. It is stated that troops from Saragossa, when going to Jaca, were held up at. Ayerbe, where t]ie railway was found' cut. General Berenguer, Premier of Spain following a meeting of the Cabinet, which lasted for two and a half hours, belittled the outbreak at Jaca. The Premier said: “No sooner do w.e stop a little hole in one place than another little hole conies into evidence.” He attached no importance to the matter, and he was sure that it all would end in smoke. The Minister of the Interior said that the Government, in order to avoid any misunderstandings, had ordered a censorship in regard to news of revolt, and also as to labour disputes of subversive character. <

Tlie Council of Ministers have authorised the Captain-General in the region of Aragon to declare a state of war in his territory.
